Principal Dentist / Leading Cosmetic Clinician
To me, giving even one of our patients anything other than the very best of dental care and treatment isn’t an option. As principal dentist at Town Hall Dental, it’s my aim and ambition to achieve that every single time a patient visits us.

Advanced Associate Dentist
As someone who is passionate about delivering the highest standard of care, my ethos is to treat every patient as I would treat a member of my own family, and to ensure we achieve the best possible results for patients when they visit Town Hall Dental. As a team we like to get to know people so we can treat our patients as individuals, not just a set of teeth. By doing this we can understand our patients' problems and concerns and design our treatment plans together to suit their needs.
I have a special interest in dental sedation, restorative and cosmetic dentistry so I tend to deal with a lot of nervous patients who have neglected their teeth due to previous bad experiences with dental treatment. As such they often come to see us with badly damaged teeth and a tremendous amount of anxiety. We spend time getting to know people and help them to overcome their fears to improve their dental health, giving them the confidence to have treatment and more importantly, to smile again
Since qualifying from Guy's Dental Hospital in 2001, I have continued to develop my clinical skills and knowledge by completing various postgraduate courses. As well as numerous short courses to update my core skills I have carried out the following advanced courses to increase the treatment options I am able to offer patients:
Certificate in Restorative Dentistry - 2005
Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry - 2007
Certificate in Dental Implantology - 2009
Diploma in Conscious Sedation - 2013
Certification Course for Six Month Smiles – 2013
Complete Care Dentistry at the UK Dawson Academy - upcoming autumn 2016
As well as offering advanced restorative and cosmetic dental treatment, I am also a member of the Dental Sedation Teachers Group (DSTG) and mentor other dentists learning to provide sedation for anxious patients. In 2014 I was also awarded Membership to the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in recognition of my commitment to postgraduate education.
Outside of the practice most of my spare time is spent enjoying life with my wonderful family - my wife Deepika, son Manraj and daughter Ishani all keep me on my toes! We love getting out to the local countryside with the kids - exploring Otley Chevin near where we live is our favourite. Being a big kid, I love spending time with my son making the most fantastic Lego creations! For 'me time' I love music so I'll often relax by listening to my prized rare vinyl collection! If i need to burn off some energy I'll get on my drum kit or go for a cycle ride with friends.
I have a keen interest in art, film and world cinema, particularly the history and development of cinema. As such, in 2015 I completed a film studies course as a break from my dental education!
I am extremely grateful to be in a position where I can help patients regain their confidence through improving their smiles. I find this aspect of dentistry so rewarding and satisfying that I do not see dentistry as a job – it is a real passion of mine. I love educating patients to help them understand the causes of their dental problems and working with them to create beautiful healthy smiles.
I have worked in several practices across the North West and Yorkshire, but I love being part of the Town Hall team as every single member of the team is passionate about delivering exceptional service and results for our patients making it a wonderful place to practice dentistry.
I qualified from the University of Manchester in 2010 with honours, and have successful completed the membership of faculty of dental surgery examinations. I spent a year working as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where I carried out countless complex surgical extractions, as well as assisting in many head and neck surgeries. During this time, I completed training in conscious sedation for dentistry which lead to a position as a provider of minor oral surgery for the local referral centres.
I have since spent most of time in general dental practice where I have developed a special interest in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. I love being able to transform a smile whilst maintaining optimum dental health and strive constantly improve and develop my skills.
