Earwax Micro suction, when performed by a trained practitioner, is a painless and safe way to remove earwax and debris from the ear canal when other methods are not possible, such as in the case of grommets or perforated eardrum.
Earwax is removed by using a small suction tube and a probe to gently remove earwax. A microscope or magnifying glasses are used to ensure precision and complete removal.
Micro suction is an effective treatment for a range of conditions including:
Loss Of Hearing – excessive earwax is a common cause of superficial hearing loss pressure or a feeling of fullness in the ears.
Itching – Earwax can cause irritation and itching when there is build-up.
Vertigo – Earwax presses the eardrum (tympanic membrane) and can result in vertigo.
Ear Infections – Eardrops are sometimes ineffective when a build-up of earwax prevents them reaching the site of infection. Micro suction is possible when there is an infection and will make topical treatment drops more effective.
Side Effects Are Rare, But There Is A Small Risk Of:
Loss Of Hearing – caused by cooling of the ear canal during the procedure.
Itching – Earwax can cause irritation and itching when there is build-up.
Vertigo – Earwax presses the eardrum (tympanic membrane) and can result in vertigo.
Ear Infections – Some patients find the treatment to be loud which can cause temporary hearing loss called temporary threshold shift. There is also an extremely rare chance of tinnitus being caused or worsened.
Micro suction is pain-free, and most patients report that they enjoy the soothing sensation. There is a sound similar to wind, and sometimes a sucking sound if the wax is very soft.
One single session of micro suction is usually enough to clear the ear canal completely. In the case of long-term impacted wax, a follow-up treatment following the application of eardrops may be required.

Cryotherapy Pen
Cryotherapy Pen is a fast and effective method that uses medical-grade liquid nitrogen to remove:
- Skin Tags
- Age Spots
- Milia
- Cherry Angioma
- Warts
- Verrucae
- Pigmentation
The cryopen emits a jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure that creates ice crystals to rupture the cells within the growth or lesion.
In most cases, one single treatment will be sufficient. The lesion will drop off after a few days. For larger skin tags and verrucae, follow-up treatment may be required. The first follow-up treatment is priced at a reduced rate.
Consultation Fee (Redeemable Against Treatment): £25
Single Skin Tag/Lesion Removal: £50
Skin Tag/Lesion Removal – Up To 4: £70
Additional Skin Tag/Lesion Removal – £25
Single Follow-Up Treatment – £25
Following treatment, the area treated may blister, or appear red and swollen. Expect the site to feel like an insect bite. It may look worse before it gets better. Two to three days after treatment, a scab may form which can take up to one month to heal. In rare cases, increased pigmentation may occur. This will be discussed during the initial consultation.
