Regular Dental hygiene examinations, or check-ups, are a must and form the basis of our preventative dental care plan. Even with the perfect Dental hygiene examinations you can still develop dental problems that you may not be able to spot by yourself in your own bathroom mirror.
We will give you a thorough oral examination, with oral cancer screening as standard. We strongly believe that prevention is better than cure and recommend a Dental hygiene examination at least every 6 months to ensure problems are caught early on and treated when they are minimal, instead of waiting until it hurts and a more drastic and costly solution is required.

More than just a scale and polish
Our dental hygiene examination specialists are highly skilled and will professionally clean your teeth using both hand instruments and ultrasonic scalers, removing any plaque and tartar that cannot be removed by brushing or flossing alone. Many patients comment on how much smoother their teeth feel after a thorough clean. In addition to an ultrasonic scale, your teeth will be polished using a special paste to remove any superficial stains, giving you an instantly clean smile. Air-Flow Aesthetic Polishing is also available at the practice.
